Scholastic Book Clubs is a platform where teachers get access to a wide variety of educational books that attend to the learning needs of young learners from various age groups and cultural backgrounds. Books on ScholasticBook Clubs are selected by teachers and educators for use with kids in and outside class. Teachers can use grade specific flyers to track new book releases, book sales, and many more.
Teachers can sign up in Scholastic Book Clubs to start placing Scholastic Book Clubs orders for their class. You can help kids choose books they like to read and get their parents to place orders, which can be done from within your teacher account.

Use the Books and Resources section to browse through collection of kids books. These materials are arranged by grade and collection. Grade categories include: birth to 3, 4-5, PreK and Kindergarten, 1th grade to 6th grade, and Middle School. As for collections they include: Judy Newman at Scholastic; Value Packs; Reading Levels; Teacher Favorites For Every Grade; Fiction; Nonfiction; Celebrating Diversity; Graphic Novels; STEAM; and Spanish and Bilingual Books (Club Leo).
Teachers can also create wish lists and make recommendation to students and parents. Simply click on the Heart and Star icons found on the right hand side of any page. To manage your recommended titles and class wish lists click on My Lists tab in your teacher account. To share recommendations and wish lists with families, click on Share Now. A pop-up will be displayed containing :class order due date, URL of your class page, link to the digital flyers you selected, class code, and a note to families. You have the option to set or change the due date and you can also recommend books to the class so that parents will see them when they shop. When you are done, copy the information and share via email, social media, and more.

Teachers can also use Book Finder to quickly search for and find books for their kids and young learners. Here is how it works. Click on Book Finder, select an age or grade and click on Continue. Next, select up to 5 categories that represent your kids’ reading interests and hit Continue. You will be provided with a selection of suggested titles. Browse through the collection to select the right books for your child.
Scholastic Book Clubs offers resources and guidelines to help teachers and parents make reading an enjoyable experience for kids. For instance, the Teacher Starter kit contains important tips and guidelines on how to find books for your students. The Reading Level Chart is an especially helpful chart to keep handy when searching for reading materials for your kids. The section on Reading and Thinking Questions is another great resource to use in reading activities with students. In it you will find questions to evaluate students reading comprehension for both fiction and nonfiction.
Help Your Child Become a Reader is another equally important resource from Scholastic Book Club. It outlines the 7 steps to make a reader which are: relate, energize, allocate time, diversity, engage, read together, and support.
